The Media Arts Studio is a fully equipped, state-of-the-art digital media production facility located on the CRLS campus. This award winning facility is home to Cambridge Educational Access TV (CEATV) and the Rindge School for Technical Arts - Media Technology Program. We offer students real world access to two Cambridge cable channels, Smart TV98 and CPS TV99, as well as program distribution on the web.
The Media Arts Studio provides media art education both in school and after the school day to create quality, student-produced programming for our cable channels and website. Students become involved in first hand experiences with professional media makers, and our work includes many school, community, and university collaborations designed to create content for the channels.
Students learn to plan, research and script media programs, and develop an understanding of the creative process. Students acquire field and studio production skills including use of digital video cameras and editing, and proficiency in industry standard multi-media software. Related areas of learning include animation, music production, web development, and online content production.
Media Arts Studio opportunities are described in the CRLS Course Catalog on page 9 and pages 40.
