CGSI

There are five main goals laid out in the Cambridge Public School District’s Sustainability Plan. The Cambridge Green Schools Initiative, or CGSI, comes into play for Goal 2: To Engage Building Occupants. CGSI is a program that launched in September 2011, and is designed to engage school building occupants, including students, teachers, staff, administrators, custodians, and visitors, in behavioral changes that support daily sustainable practices in the PFEWG™ categories of Products, Food, Energy, Waste, and Greenspace. As we near closer to September, and as the program gets underway we will update this page with news and information.
